Managed by the Printing Association of Florida, a PIA affliate, GOA is the premier event for the graphic communications industry in North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean. It is the largest trade show in the United States for the Latin American and Southeastern U.S. markets. Last year, some 8,000 graphics pros experienced more than 400 brands in the expo—and over 50 seminars are presented in English and Spanish. A few product highlights for the 2015 edition: MGI MGI will showcase two award winning duos at Graphics of the Amer- icas: the JETvarnish 3D spot UV coater with in-line digital foiling iFOIL mod- ule and the multi-substrate Meteor DP8700 XL+ digital press with the brand new inline DF Pro fnishing system. MGI's JETvarnish 3D, is now more powerful with a new feld upgradeable option, allowing for doubling ("T2") production speeds and the ability to digitally coat up to 300 mi- crons in one pass on formats up to 52x105cm (20x40' inches). In addition to the increased speed, the new barcode reaction camera system will allow users to digitally emboss or spot varnish variable data by reading printed barcodes and recalling the correct images in the workstation to varnish with The JETvarnish 3D "T2" can be connected to MGI's award-winning iFOIL module to create 100% digital hot foiling in-line. The iFOIL does not require use of dies, plates or make-ready, allowing this innovative duo create a tactile elegance never seen before on demand. The JETvarnish 3D and iFOIL's combined abilities produce a revolutionary new process for personalized foil in short runs, generating never before seen opportunities. MGI will also be showcasing the newest member to the Meteor family of digi- tal presses, the Meteor DP8700 XL+, which brings a sizeable upgrade in quality, format sizing, thicknesses and more. The Meteor DP8700 XL+ is a versatile ton- er-based digital press with true multi-substrate capabilities for paper, plastics & envelopes. Designed to maximize production & ease of operation, the Meteor DP8700 XL+ boasts a variety of value-added capabilities including laser-safe prints, offset comparable output, and ability to print up to 47 inches long. Printware Printware will be demonstrating its award winning iJetColor Press family of inkjet presses powered by Memjet technology, at Graphics of the Amer- icas 2015. The iJetColor Envelope Press, a compact, table top, 4-color inkjet press, is suitable for supporting production paper stocks as heavy as .02 inch/.5 mm on up to 8.5x17 inches substrate. The iJetColor Label Press is a compact, table top, 4-color inkjet press suitable for supporting produc- tion label stocks for product pack- aging personalization, variable data barcoding, shelf labels, product labels for retail and industrial applications for product personalization. iJetColor Press systems include Printware's iJetColor Workfow based on the industry standard production quality Xitron Navigator Harlequin RIP and workfow with specially designed features for use with the iJetColor Press. iJetColor Press systems bring new revenue opportunities to print shops, making it extremely affordable to produce 4-color jobs and to also cap- italize on new shorter run opportuni- ties. The iJetColor Press provides low cost, personalized printed images in print volume as low as one unit. iJetColor Presses have been in- stalled by Printware at a variety of printing shops including franchise commercial printers, high volume specialty trade printers, in-plant printers and schools.
