There are many different technological ap- proaches to enabling what is mostly water with some colorant to stick to these rela- tively non-porous media stocks. The print quality we've seen from all these first- generation printers is very good across the board. What is unclear yet is what the economic implications will be from this technology. We know it will be more expensive than offset and less expensive than production toner-based systems, but measuring the actual cost implications will be very complex since there are so many variables that come into play.
