he winners of the Binding Industries Association's 2014 Product of Excellence awards
are stellar, as they are every year. The creativity and technical expertise that goes into the
creation of each project is, quite simply, some of the best work from around the world.
The BIA Annual Conference, held this past spring in Dallas, TX, is the definitive event
for graphic finishers, binderies, custom loose-leaf manufacturers, information packaging companies,
and industry suppliers to engage in empowering sessions and networking opportunities. Attendees of
this year's conference shared new profit-building solutions and connected with leading industry sup-
pliers to find profitable business solutions. Attendees also had an opportunity to tour three facilities
local to North Texas: digital print firm ABCO, Artifacture art studio which specializes in laser cutting and
dimensional paper design, and transactional printer O'Neil Data Systems.
HOF Inductee
Dale Reindl, chairman of the board of Reindl Bindery Co., Germantown, WI, was inducted into the
BIA Hall of Fame during the annual conference, held Mar. 30-Apr. 2. Founded in 2008, the Hall of
Fame honors binding and loose leaf manufacturing industry executives who have gone far beyond the
standard obligations to become a dominant force in the shaping of BIA and the business of finishing.
Sponsored by the Binding Industries Association (BIA), this award is dedicated to the spirit of those
industry pioneers whose hard work and determination have created a vibrant, growing and changing
industry.
